Indexing & Archiving
Alassema University Scientific Journal (AUSJ) is currently in its early stages of development and has already been included in several scholarly indexing platforms. The editorial team is committed to pursuing inclusion in major academic databases such as DOAJ, the Emerging Sources Citation Index, Scopus, and PubMed, once a sufficient body of published work has been established to meet their criteria. In line with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, the journal is implementing rigorous standards to enhance its eligibility for reputable indexing services. AUSJ does not support or seek inclusion in deceptive or predatory indexes. In the meantime, various search engine optimization (SEO) strategies have been applied to ensure that the journal’s content is easily discoverable through widely used platforms like Google Scholar.
Long-Term Archiving
AUSJ recognizes the critical importance of preserving scholarly research for future access. The journal is also dedicated to safeguarding the intellectual contributions of its authors and reviewers, ensuring that their work remains available even in the event of unforeseen disruptions. While university libraries have historically played a central role in academic preservation, the rise of open-access publishing has introduced new challenges in maintaining long-term accessibility. To address this, specialized archiving initiatives have been developed to support the enduring availability of digital scholarly content. Should additional preservation measures become necessary, AUSJ is prepared to engage further with commercial archiving services such as Portico and CLOCKSS archiving services. Moreover, AUSJ assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all published articles and encourages authors to register for ORCID accounts (see DOIs & ORCID), both of which contribute to the integrity, traceability, and long-term accessibility of the journal’s scholarly output.
